It is a terrible situation all around, and I feel particularly bad because I'm pretty sure I turned you on to Burton Hosting many years ago. They were great for a long time, they really were. If you think about it, a lot of people have been screwed. Say they had 10 servers with 100 accounts each. That is 1,000 people who were shutoff without warning. If there is anything I can do to help, just let me know. I feel awful about this. :( Mike I am so sorry that happened, Cyan. If you think about it, a lot of people have been screwed. Say they had 10 servers with 100 accounts each. That is 1,000 people who were shutoff without warning.

Thankfully, I had a recent backup of the commercial site, and I was able to switch to a temporary host and band-aid the situation. I'm not sure what will happen with the personal domain. We've been trying to contact tucows about releasing the domain. For some reason Burton Hosting is listed as the registrar, but I know we purchased the domain prior to hosting with Burton. I'm still listed as the admin contact, so we'll see. Gnax quoted me $80.00 plus shipping. They were very responsive when I called them this morning, but I also passed on the back-up data. I lost a mysql database, and I was paid up with Burton through July, but I'm not going to cry over it. I just wish that Burton Hosting would have given some notice.
